Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!

union jack love

When I picked up this little side table looking worse for wear I knew I could redeem it into something special.
Union Jacks on furniture have been very popular for some time now and I have wanted to do one on something for ages, this little table gave me the perfect excuse.
I love the distressed factor and how the crack in the veneer shows through.
You need to learn to love these pieces with all their faults and flaws from their previous life- a bit like people really!

Here she is ready to hold a drink and some nibbles in time for the festive season.
Although you can't see it in the photo her legs are slightly distressed too.

This gorgeous glittered glass is part of my Christmas range and will only be available for a short time.

Union Jack Table: $20 SOLD
Glittered Glasses: $8 a pair

where to find redeemed

We will be at the Jacaranda Pre School fundraiser on Thursday Night 29th November.
This will just be a table stall so no large items will be there.
The cost is $20 a ticket which includes champagne and nibbles, plus lots of fun and prizes.

We will also be at the Legacy Christmas Markets on Saturday 1st December.
These will be at Legacy  House (where Vines is) in Fitzroy St.
I will have my tent outside in the car park at the back.

My final stall of the year will be at the School of Arts Markets over South Grafton, on Saturday 8th December.
If you haven't yet been to check out "redeemed" please come along to one of these events,
we would love to see you there!

Note: photos are from previous market stalls

biggest project yet

This solid former TV cabinet is going to be a fun project as we turn it into a kid's play kitchen.
It is very heavy and solid and when finished will be listed on Gumtree if it is not snapped up by someone before hand.
It will only be available until Christmas Eve, so if you know of anyone who may be interested in this as a Christmas present please get them to contact me.
This will also enable them to pick colours before I start painting it.
Will include a sink, fridge, stove and oven, and lights plus much more.
This piece when finished will be able to be played with for years to come and would be able to passed down to the next generation.
It is 1.7m long and about 1.4m high.

This little stool was redeemed with ...

a coat of aqua paint and

Some cute fabric modge podged on top.
It has been lightly distressed and finished with clear lacquer for durability.

For Sale: $20 SOLD

sit down

The two stools in the foreground were a great find.
and I wanted to do something fun with them to freshen them up.

I came up with this fabulous idea to put the words sit down on them.
I hope they are enjoying their new home!

step up

This dingy step ladder was given a makeover

and turned into this little beauty.
Sorry about the background- I don't know what I was thinking when I took this shot.
I love the step up on it and was sad to part with this little number.

little black stool

This little outdated number got a bit of black magic.

Looks so much fresher and more up to date now!

For sale: $15

musical drawers

This gorgeous little side table started out life looking like this

I found her looking rather forlorn at a garage sale,
but could immediately see her potential and I loved the shape of her drawers.

Some of the veneer on top was a little chipped so I covered it with vintage sheet music.

and then did the same with the drawers

I painted the drawers black inside to freshen them up

The crystal knobs just make the her shine.

This would have to be one of my favourite makeovers.
I am so happy she has gone to a new home!

little map cupboard

Sorry no befores on this one,
in my haste to get it done before the market stall I plowed right in without taking a photo.
Just imagine a 70's style wood veneer cupboard.

Which then became a cute little map cupboard

I painted the inside aqua and covered the yucky shelf with some more maps.

The drawer was also painted aqua and new silver knobs completed the makeover.

Gone to a new home.

french chocolate folding table

This cute little table started life as a very ordinary fold up table

essentially nothing wrong with it but it needed a little update.

The legs got a coat of grey.

and the top got this great water slide decal.
I am very happy with how it turned out.

It was snapped up very quickly.

nesting box

I picked this nesting box up at a garage sale and thought it had potential.

So I painted it aqua and white

and added this cute little bird made out of music sheets and paper clips.

I think this would be a great decorator piece with space to hide small treasures in!

sewing table

This sewing table had quite a lot of wear and water damage when I got her.

I treated her for the water damage,
sanded the varnish off the table and gave the outside a light sand.

Then I waxed her all over and put on a new knob as the old one was broken.

She is looking so beautiful now, waiting for her new home.

school desk and stool

This cute little desk and stool sold very quickly at my first stall.

This is what the desk looked like when it came home with me.
It was filthy!

This worn stool had seen better days.

They turned into this very cool desk and stool.

We cleaned the desk and gave it a good sanding,
The brown colour was not rust but rather the mission brown colour it was painted.
We painted it ironbark.
Then replaced the hinge and painted both sides of the lid with chalkboard paint.
She looks fabulous, now!

The little stool had to have a new top, a simple piece of pine, stained and then I painted the ampersand on it with a freezer stencil and black spray paint, I distressed this a little before sealing it.
The rest was painted in the same ironbark and I put some new little black feet on the legs.

They certainly look lovely together and were fortunate enough to find a new home with the same owner.
